Christmas is Almost Here

The most wonderful time of the year is almost here and it’s time to dig out those Christmas decorations. Christmas is, without a doubt, my favourite holiday of the year. A chance to spend quality time with friends and family, giving them gifts they deserve after managing to put up with me for a whole year…

I fully immerse myself in the season – it is the season to be jolly after all. Decorating is my forte and I could spend hours upon hours searching through Pinterest for home inspiration. Even in shops I spend far too long looking at the decorations on offer, even though I don’t have anywhere to put a 4 ft Reindeer or an over-sized star… but the point is, Christmas is just perfect in every single way.

Here are some ideas for Christmas decorations this year:

Christmas Tree

Christmas trees signify this holiday perfectly for me. Getting the right Christmas tree for your home is important. Depending on your style, you may choose to purchase a real tree, an artificial one or even create a DIY one – as seen above using a ladder and baubles.

Fireplace

Fireplace’s are a real treat at Christmas time and can be decorated to create a beautiful masterpiece. The key to creating this look is using subtle fairy lights, Christmas garlands and candles to create a wonderful Christmas-y ambiance.

Accessorising

Accessorising around the home is important when trying to create a Christmas-y ambiance. The hallway introduces guests to your home, so it needs to have the ‘wow’ factor. Christmas garlands, again, look stunning and instantly make any room ready for the big day.

Exterior Decor – Wreaths

There are a variety of different wreaths available, artificial or fake, depending on your preference. Above are some of my favourite Christmas wreath looks – simple, yet classy. The last one is my favourite, a fresh wreath using sage and white berries, hung beautifully by some simple ribbon.

Ps… Gift Wrapping Inspiration

Merry Christmas!

With love,

Victoria
