The Stripe Trend

Stripes. They’re timeless, versatile and oh-so easy to dress up and down to create the perfect look for whatever your occasion may be. Whether you love a classic navy and white stripe duo, or prefer to make a statement with bright and bold colours, stripes look gorgeous and come in a variety of ways for different looks.

Striped pieces go with everything from denim to this season’s hottest tulle trend, and this is why they are a must-have item for your wardrobe this season.

Striped tops create the ultimate statement to any outfit

Whether it’s a simple monochrome outfit, or a coloured striped jumper/top, they still create an timeless look. To dress these outfits up in order to wear them out, pair stripes with a pair of heels or boots and add some colour to your lips – I think a bold red lip would look perfect, especially with a black and white style.

Trousers, in my opinion, are harder to style. I suggest sticking to darker colours to enable you to match them up with tops easily – for example, black striped and navy striped trousers can easily be matched (see above). White is a perfect alternative to dark colours for the spring and summer months when the sun (eventually) shines.

These street-style looks create an effortless outfit without needing much thought. Stripes are great under pinafores – one of my signature looks.

Whilst doing some online shopping yesterday, I stumbled across this ASOS midi dress, which I’ve fallen in love with. It’s currently reduced, so if you like it be sure to snap it up quickly! It’s the perfect piece for spring and can easily be made casual or dressed up for going out-out in.

Get your stripe on!

With love,

Victoria
